Found an old VHS tape at a garage sale labeled 'Night Frights'. Popped it in and it's this weird horror movie from the 90s I've never heard of. No info online. The production seems low-budget, but the practical effects are incredible. Anyone got more info on this?
I'm a collector of rare commercials from the 90s and early 2000s on VHS. I'll dig through my archives this weekend, I might just have this commercial recorded off the telly back in the day. Will report back if I find anything!
Hey, 'Johnson and Friends' was a staple part of my childhood too! I actually collect old VHS tapes and I've got a couple of episodes. Not for sale tho - part of my personal collection. But if you're really desperate, you might find collectors willing to sell or trade. Check …
No one's mentioned *Ed* yet? Movie about a chimp who plays third base in minor league baseball. It had a weird vibe too, perhaps what you're remembering.
I trade in VHS and stuff, got tons of tapes but never came across any 'Dial S for Shorts', which is a shame considering the Christmas special sounds rad. Maybe check eBay or old rental places? Some of those mom and pop stores have boxes of old tapes that never …
There's a chance what you’re describing is one of those regional puppet shows that were released only on VHS in limited quantities. These types of shows rarely make it to DVD or streaming, and finding them is a real treasure hunt. You might want to check eBay or collectors' forums. …
Could you be thinking of 'Somewhere in Time’ (1980)? Although it’s not black and white, Christopher Reeve has this old pocket watch that’s central to the time-travel plot. Really pulls at the heartstrings with that classic vibe tho.
Whoa, first time hearing about this pilot! I collect VHS tapes and I thought I'd seen it all. Gonna dig around some more, I guess.
I deal mostly in VHS, but I’ve got a contact that’s crazy about old film reels. I’ll ask if they’ve heard anything about 'The Crimson Ghost' serials. No promises, but I’ve seen them come up with some pretty obscure stuff.
omg seriously, you watched it? Can't believe that you would just drop a bomb like that, and not share the vid or at least some stills...
Those old cooking shows were great, weren't they? I'd suggest looking for old VHS recordings of the cartoons, sometimes they have those segments still in them. People digitize and upload that stuff all the time. eBay might have tapes, or there are VHS swap meets in some places.
