The most recent draft of the plan still needs to go through a couple of committees, and then there’s funding allocation. If you want to help move the needle, consider writing to your city supervisor to express your concerns and the need for urgency.

Let’s be honest, it’s Market Street, it'll always be chaotic. Bike lanes or not, cyclists are always gonna have to be careful. Isn't there a plan to ban cars from Market though? Might help eventually.

Last I heard, the city was working on improving the lanes after all the feedback. They’ve been slow about it, which is kinda typical for SF, but I'm hopeful. Safety’s gotta come first, so fingers crossed they actually follow through sooner rather than later!
