Ultimate Mission Burrito Guide

Yo burrito lovers! Here’s the ONLY guide u need for Mission burritos:

  1. La Taqueria - Obvi this place is legendary. No rice, just pure flavor. The carne asada is a must-try.
  2. El Farolito - Open super late and burritos are massive. Don’t go light, get the super burrito.
  3. Taqueria Cancún - Vegan options that rock and they don’t skimp on portions.

Honorable mentions: Papalote, for that salsa, and El Metate for bomb fish burritos. Agree? Disagree? Where’s your go-to?

Everyone always hyping these places up, but let's be real, they can be hit or miss. What about the hole-in-the-wall joints no one talks about? Like Taqueria Vallarta and their $2 tacos on Tuesdays. Burritos are just tacos that went to private school. Change my mind.

Taqueria Cancún's vegan burrito is aight, but have y'all tried the quesabirria from El Faro on Folsom? It's the best thing since sliced bread. And their tortillas? Perfect ratio of chewy to crispy. Just sayin' 🌯

El Metate deserves more than an honorable mention for their fish burritos alone. Fresh, flavorful, and their chipotle sauce is to die for! If you're into seafood, you gotta check it out.

La Taqueria overrated tbh. Lines too long and they're always stingy with the pinto beans. You want the real deal? Hit up San Jose Taqueria on 24th, family-run and never disappoints. That's my two cents.

Can we talk about Papalote's salsa for a second? It's legendary. I'd buy that by the gallon if I could. Also, their tofu mole burrito? Chef's kiss. It's all about the saucy details fam.

El Farolito is the spot after a night out, no question! Try their al pastor super burrito when it's 2am and tell me there's a better burrito out there. Protip: get there before the bars close or be ready to wait in a looong line.

Taqueria Cancún is legitimately a godsend for us plant-based peeps. The vegan burrito is stuffed to the brim with goodness. Try their soyrizo, it's spicy and satisfying. And I swear their guacamole is laced with magic, can't get enough!

No love for Taqueria La Cumbre? They're like the OG mission burrito pioneers. Plus, their salsa verde is a game changer. Definitely deserves more than an honorable mention imo.
