Thinking back to the days of free concerts in the park, man were those the times. Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin just jamming for everyone. Feels like the spirit of the city’s changed a bit, but I still see glimmers of that old SF soul now and then. Let’s share stories, anyone have memories from 'those' days?

Not to brag, but I've seen the Grateful Dead in Golden Gate Park more times than I can count. Those spontaneous concerts were the highlight of my youth. There was a sense of freedom, man, that I haven't felt at concerts since. Everyone was friends, everyone was there for the music and the good vibes. It's like we all spoke the same unspoken language.

Oh man, I used to jam with friends and then we'd all head to the park. The moment Jefferson Airplane started playing White Rabbit live, I knew music was my calling. Wish we could bring back that community and love for the arts. There’s something about live music in the open air, right? Nothing beats it.

Wasn't around for the original scene, but man, I've dug through so many archive photos and recordings. It must've been an unreal experience to be part of that community. Anybody got pics or stories to share? Would love to live vicariously through the tales!

Oh wow, those were the days, right? I remember seeing Joplin light up the stage. There was something about the air and the vibe, everyone connected through the music. Golden Gate Park felt like the center of the universe every time these gigs went on. Anyone else catch the Dead there in '71? Magic!
