Moved into a new house, weird stuff happening

Ok so we got this awesome deal on this old victorian house, right? The minute we step in, things go weird. Doors keep creaking open, lights flickering, and I even swear I saw a woman in white cross the hallway at night. Someone on here got some sage advice to deal with this stuff? Or am I just going insane?

Oh! An old Victorian you say? Such rich history they hold, though unfortunately, history can occasionally be... troubling. Perhaps your house's past is trying to make itself known to you. My advice? Show respect, and perhaps the replays from history will quieten. Lights flickering and creaky doors are a common finding in such old houses but the vision of a lady is indeed uncanny. Exercise your caution and perhaps try learning about the house's background. It may provide some insights.

Who you gonna call? 👻 Seriously though, maybe get a priest if it's really bad? Or you know... move out?

3 am I'm reading this, in an empty office, totally not freaked out. Thanks pal. Anyway, somehow sprinkle salt around, heard ghosts don't like that stuff. Good luck man.

Sounds like you've got a resident ghost. Don't panic, most are harmless. Try communicating, ask it what it wants. Use a Ouija board if you have to. Maybe you can live together peacefully.

You moved into an old victorian house, mate. Creaking doors? Flickering lights? Sounds more like you need a handyman, not an exorcist. As for the woman... maybe you're just not getting enough sleep. Old houses can mess with your head, trust me.

Haha it's probably just your real estate agent trying to get rid of you so they can resell at a higher price. Paranormal Realty 101 😆

Investigator of the paranormal here.

What you're describing could potentially be a haunting. Hallucinations are usually where a skeptical mind will wander first, but considering the number and nature of these occurrences, I'd entertain the possibility.

Here's my advice: document everything. Times, descriptions, impacts. Anything that seems out of the ordinary. It's going to be your bedrock if you need to contact professional assistance.

As far as immediate methods to try and curtail these odd occurrences, I recommend a thorough cleansing ritual. Many cultures use different methods, but a common Western one involves burning sage, also known as smudging. As you burn the sage, you walk around the rooms of your home, especially in areas where you've noticed these activities. It's believed to remove negative energy.

If things persist or escalate, I recommend contacting a professional. There are many legitimate paranormal investigators who may be able to help. Please stay safe, and keep us updated.

Welcome to the club, mate! Here how I see it - bit cliché but it seems like you got yourselves a haunting. Suggestion - smudge your house with sage, apparently it cleanses negative energy. Not sure but better safe than sorry, right? Lol. Keep us updated.
