Rosie and Jim scared me as a kid

This series was the bad CITV show I watched as a kid. I usually preferred Sooty and Co./Sooty Heights/Sooty (2001)/Sooty (2011) over this.

The puppets looked like they were creeping over me very much. And the boat steerer was doing nothing. The duck also made a creepy quack. And guess what? Their voices sound awful.

At least it got cancelled.

Wow, I thought I was the only one scared of Rosie and Jim. I could barely watch that show without hiding behind the couch. That duck, tho...

Rosie and Jim's voices were kinda odd, ngl. But it's all charm from old kids' shows, isn’t it? I miss those wonky, imperfect things, they had character. Nowadays it's all so polished, it lacks that... idk, that genuine feel?

Cancelled? More like eternal horror preserved in the annals of children's TV. But really, who let those puppets steer a boat? No wonder we're all messed up.

lol, they were just dolls on a boat, chill 😂 but yeah, that duck quack? serious horror movie material right there.

That duck though... Used to be the stuff of nightmares! But honestly, the nostalgia is real with this one. Even with their creepy quirks, those shows shaped our childhoods.

I see your point but gotta disagree. Yeah, Rosie and Jim could be unsettling with the deadpan looks and all, but it was a product of its time. We've been spoiled by high-quality animatronics and CGI. Consider the era it was made in—eye movement tech and puppet expressions were limited back then. Plus, it wasn't all bad, some episodes were genuinely educational.

omg, I totally get what you're saying. I loved watching Rosie and Jim as a kid, but looking back, it definitely had some creepy vibes. Their stares were so intense, like they could see into your soul.
