I met a vampire and now we're BFFs

Just let a vampire suck my blood. Now we're best friends and we spend our nights chasing werewolves and eating pizza. Too bad he can't eat garlic bread though.

A vampire BFF seems convenient. I guess you won't be needing a night light anymore, eh?

So werewolves and vampires really exist? I always thought these stories were just made up...

Cool story. I am just wondering how he deals with garlic in the pizza sauce? Or do you guys also skip on the sauce?

Long-time lurker and vampire aficionado here.

This sounds a lot like 'Universal Friendship' in Vampire lore, where a vampire chooses a mortal companion instead of turning them. For whatever reason, the vampire values your companionship and doesn't want to risk losing that by biting/turning you. It's contemplated that they experience a sort of 'human connection' through this bond, which they lack otherwise.

Also, garlic is not universally harmful to vampires. That belief has mostly been popularized by Hollywood for cinematic effect. In fact, in some mythologies, it has no effect at all.

Sounds like a great friendship you've got there! Just be careful, you never know when the tides might turn in the vampire world.
