The year is 1989.
My friends live in France, including me. We have a TV at home with an antenna we got from the UK. We watch our favorite channels such as TCC and Screensport. One of our friends say: "Let's watch BBC News!" and he then tuned in to BBC News TV, a secret channel available on channel 264893. It felt like an ordinary news channel until an hour later, when all I could see was black and the screenbug. Then the channel turned on again, showing footage of a man talking about WWIII and how he is going to kill all people. I was afraid, and I changed it to Sky Channel. Then, I saw a headline: "BBC NEWS TV HIJACKED!"

This seems eerily similar to broadcast signal intrusions like the 'Southern Television broadcast interruption' in the UK or the 'Captain Midnight' incident in the US. In particular, death threats or violent content aren't common in these hijacking scenarios; they usually contain nonsensical or humorous content. This eerie deviation sets your story apart...and only makes it creepier. I wonder what the intent was in this case? Were there any other reports of this hijacking incident from other viewers or media outlets at the time? I'm intrigued. Can't wait for the continuation!
