Because of my demanding job and family life, I can spare only 1 hour a day for the gym, but I want to make the most out of it. I've heard about compound exercises. Should I focus on those? Any ideas for a workout routine that covers strength, cardio, and some flexibility? Would be really helpful if you guys could chime in. Thanks!

Definitely focus on compound exercises if you're short on time. They're gonna give you the most bang for your buck since they're engaging multiple muscle groups at once. A routine of squats, deadlifts, bench press, and overhead press can cover pretty much every major muscle group. Sprinkle in some HIIT cardio on a bike or rowing machine if you have time!

Hey! Professional fitness coach here. Given you have only 1 hour, it's key to make your workouts efficient yet comprehensive. You're correct about compound exercises; they're a time-efficient way to engage multiple muscle groups.
One possible one-hour workout could look like this:
-5 minute warm-up (light cardio or dynamic stretching)
-Compound strength training (30 minutes). Prioritize Squats, Deadlifts, Bench Presses, and Barbell Rows, which work large muscle groups.
-Cardio (15 minutes). Try high-intensity interval training – short, intense bursts of exercise with brief recovery periods.
-Stretching/Flexibility work (10 min). Pay attention to the muscles you focused on during the strength training and target them for stretching.
Remember, your form is crucial. Don't sacrifice it to lift heavier or do more reps. Quality over quantity always!
