Just got my gym membership today, feeling overwhelmed

Where do I even start, guys? There are so many machines and things, no idea what half of them do. Looking for advice on how to get started. By the way, I am 30+ and looking to lose some weight and build some strength. Thanks!

Food's where most of this battle is won. Cut out junk, up your proteins, complex carbs n lots of greens. Trust me, fix your diet, and you're halfway there.

Well, I've read you should start with strength training first. No wait, was it HIIT or maybe it's cardio? Ah, nevermind.

Gym's intimidating, huh? Why not try the fun stuff? Zumba, spinning classes, or even good ol' swimming. Way less scary n you'll lose weight while having a blast.

Super excited for you! Remember, it's not just about weight loss, but being fit and healthy overall. Don't rush, start slow. Join a group class if you find gym machines intimidating. It's a great way to ease into a workout routine.

Supplements bro! Whey protein post workout, BCAA during, pre-workout for that extra pump, mass gainer if you wanna bulk up. Also, check out the hammer strength section, sick machines there.

Hey buddy! I was in your shoes a year ago. Confused, and full of doubts. But let me tell you, this journey is worth every drop of sweat. Start anywhere, but stay consistent. Gradually, you'll figure out what works best for you. Nutrition is key! So eat right. Most importantly, never give up.

Bro, start with compound lifts. Things like squats, deadlifts, bench press. Those are gonna give you most bang for your buck. Also, don't ignore cardio and don't skip leg days. It's a grind, but you'll get there!

Fitness trainer here. Overwhelming, isn't it? But you've made the toughest step that is getting started. Here's a basic routine you might wanna consider:

  • Cardio: Start with 30 minutes of moderate-intensity cardio on the treadmill or cross trainer 3 times a week. This will help in boosting stamina and losing fat.
  • Strength Training: Start with machines, they are safer for beginners. Include exercises that target major muscle groups in their bodies: like chest press for chest, lat pull down for back, leg press for legs. Do this twice a week.
  • Yoga/Stretching: Do 15 minutes of stretching post-workout to improve flexibility and prevent injury.

Diet is as crucial as workouts, ensure to maintain a balanced diet dominated by proteins and veggies. Also, get your body composition checked every month, it will help you track your progress. All the best!
