Well, well, well... the arms are betraying you, huh? Bet they want to hog all the gains. Don't let them! Show those triceps who's boss and make your chest do the heavy lift. Try an activation exercise for your chest prior to bench pressing and say no to sneaky arms stealing all the hard work.

From my experience, it sounds like you're not retracting your scapulae. Basically, you gotta pull your shoulder blades down and back, like you're trying to hold a pencil between them. This will create a more stable base, involve your chest more and protect your shoulders. Stay safe bro.

Idk if this helps but I was facing the same problem. Then I started doing push-ups before benching to warm up. Felt my chest working way more after that.

It could be several things. Potentially your grip. It could be too wide or too narrow. It could also be lack of chest activation during the movement. This is a common issue for people new to the bench press. You may want to do some activation exercises for the chest before hitting the bench. Squeeze your chest as hard as you can and hold for a few seconds; repeat this a few times. Then get on the bench and perform your set. Your chest will work much harder, trust me.

Maybe it's ur grip bro. Try widening it a bit and see if that makes a difference. It made the world of difference for me when I was starting out.

This is a common issue people face while bench pressing. You might be feeling strain in your arms because you're placing too much load on them. Your arms are just a path for the weight, your chest and back should be doing the actual lifting.

Try this: next time when you bench, before you unrack the weight, squeeze your shoulder blades together and hold it through the set. This activates your chest more. Also, you should be pushing the weight away from you, not just lifting it up. This might help your chest to engage more. Give it a try.

Hey dude, consider looking at your form. When you come down on your chest, the bar should be right around your nipple line. And don't forget to squeeze your chest at the top of your lift. Helped me get those pecs flexing right.
