Remember those weird ITV kids shows?

Does anyone else remember those bizarre ITV kids shows from the 90s? There was one called Zzzap! where the characters didn’t even speak, just made random noises. Or how about Art Attack? Used to love Neil Buchanan making those giant art pieces. We didn't even have much else to do on rainy Sunday mornings if you remember.

Anyone else still try to recreate those Art Attack segments from YouTube these days? Somehow feels like a techno time warp. ITV brought the goods in the 90s for sure!

Remember Clive from Smart? That was another show that tiptoed the bizarre line but had me confused and yet somehow entertained every weekend. Zzzap! was a vibe though, those sound effects still echo in my head.

Interesting fact: Zzzap! was inspired by comic strip aesthetic, hence why it had that oversized comic book feel with no dialogue. Played a big role in encouraging visual storytelling back then. As for Art Attack, Neil Buchanan went on to form a rock band, which kind of keeps that creative spirit alive, don't you think?

Art Attack was LEGEND! Neil had such energy, and those big-scale outdoor pieces got me hyped 😆! Made me wanna run outside and make art, even though we had none of those supplies 😂.

Shows these days could learn a thing or two from the weirdness of ITV back then. Zzzap! without words? Genius! Imagine today's kids just accepting pure silent slapstick and funky noises. Simpler times with more imagination sparked.

Maaate, Art Attack was my after-school ritual! Nothing more satisfying than a Big Art Attack reveal 🎨. Neil was like a wizard with PVA glue and a bunch of random junk. Can't believe how captivating that was!

Oh man, Zzzap! was pure chaos! Cuthbert Lilly was the absolute best, loved his slapstick mess-ups. And Smart Arty with his paint splatters! I swear nothing else made sense back then. You ever see the one where he painted a giant elephant? Just insane. But it perfectly fit with the randomness of the 90s TV vibe, ya know?
