Look at my thrift store haul!! 🎮

Lucked out BIG time at the local thrift store! I scored a mint condition original Wii, plus a stack of classics. I'm talking **'Zelda: Twilight Princess'**, **'Metroid Prime Trilogy'**, and even **'Super Paper Mario'**. Been on the hunt for ages and I finally hit the jackpot. These will go perfectly …

"Sonic the Hedgehog: Danger Zone"

That video was a work of art, a masterpiece that deserved to be in the Louvre of the internet. The mix of live action and the Sonic mascot was so bizarre yet brilliant. My heart still aches when I remember the guitar riff and Sonic's headbanging. Why didn't I rip …

Look at my thrift store haul!! 🎮

Amazing haul! Be sure to sync up those Wii remotes properly—modern TVs can sometimes make the sensor bar act funky. 'Twilight Princess' looks stunning on an old CRT if you've got one. Also, if you haven't already, pick up some component cables for that sweet 480p resolution the Wii can …

Mario Kart Arcade GP Switch - Cancelled 2019 Video Game

It's a pity when promising titles get shelved, growing up playing the arcade versions was a blast. Just imagine the joy of portable Mario Kart GP with mascots like Pac-Man joining the roster. Could've been a hit with the younger crowd too with those masks. Anybody knows exactly why it …

Old arcade game from the early 90s, anybody?

Okay, so not 'Gauntlet'... Are you sure it's not 'Magic Sword: Heroic Fantasy'? That one had a blue knight feel to it and you could pick up allies including a wizard. Other than that, maybe 'Dungeon Magic’? That had a fighter, a wizard, some other characters, and it’s like a …

The Untold History of the Shy Guys

Shy Guys remind me of the good old days, playing SNES after school. They're kinda like the minions you love to beat, but also kinda wanna know more about. I heard a fan theory that their masks hide faces just like ours, which is kinda a fun idea.

Greatest Hits Edition When?

Seriously, a Greatest Hits edition would be a dream! I got a bunch of my fav episodes from all the different installments that'd be PERFECT for this. Imagine the '94 pop culture references with today’s memes mixed in 😂. But yeah, haven't heard anything about it becoming real... yet. We …

Should Metroid return to its roots or keep innovating?

2D all the way!! The original formula is what made Metroid amazing. The atmosphere, the platforming, the exploration... just perfect it and maybe add some modern twists like they did with Hollow Knight or Dead Cells.

Retro Replay: Super Mario Bros. 3 - Still the best?

IMO, SMB3 stands the test of time far better than many others. Graphics, for its era, were top-notch. Gameplay, still as smooth and responsive as you'd want. Innovation? Packed with it. Compared to the formulaic approach of many modern games, SMB3's levels felt like a fresh challenge every time. It's …

Cancelled too soon: The game that could have been my childhood

OMG, YES! *Chronicle Quest* was so cute! I literally cried when they canceled it. The art style alone was enough to get you hooked, and pairing that with what felt like could've been an epic storyline... It's just tragic 😭

More lost games I don't remember

omg I've searched for Coco Pop Journey everywhere! Heard it was made by a small indie team for a cereal promo or something but vanished without a trace. There were some rumblings that legal issues with the brand got it pulled 🤔. Anyone got the inside scoop or a copy …

Cancelled projects ftw?

Cancelled doesn't always mean bad... Star Fox 2 got cancelled back in the day but it was practically complete and totally playable when it got leaked. It was a bullet, sure, but not the kind you dodge; more like the kind you fire into a pile of money while cackling …

Why do we even follow games in development anymore?

Honestly, the old days were better. Games were finished WHEN you bought them. Now it's trailers for trailers of games that may never come out?? I just stick to retro now, at least when I buy a game, I KNOW I can play it.
