Bird extinction by 2000 would've probably made us wake up to climate change and habitat destruction way sooner. Could've been a dark turning point to make humanity take nature seriously.

Seems like a cool idea, but what's the point? I could just open my own window or look at pictures online. Still, might be good for some people who can't travel or like to see different locations.
