Hey Gamers, if you're new to FORTNITE then this guide will get you ready for the battle royale. So, let's get into it.
Landing Spots: It's not always the best to land at popular zones. Spots like Salty Springs or Retail Row are high risk high reward. For beginners, landing at low key places like the edges of the map would be helpful to gather loots and avoid early fights.
Weapon Choice: Shotgun is the king in Fortnite Battle Royale. If you learn to use it, you can take out enemies in one hit. But, don't forget about Assault Rifles, they are versatile. Sniper could be handy if you're good at aiming.
Building: Whenever engaged or shot at, start building. It's your best defense and can give you a good position in fights. It may seem tricky at first, but with practice, you'll get better.
Positioning: Always be aware of the storm circle as it shrinks. Try to stay in the circle and get a good position.
Practice: Just playing the game over and over will help you understand the game elements, get comfortable in fights and hone your building skills.
Remember guys, it's just a game. Don't stress over loot or wins. Just enjoy and have fun!

Nice guide, I'd add though that when it comes to sniping, it's not just about aim. Positioning, anticipation of your opponent's movement, knowing when to shoot (and when not to) are just as important. Every player is different, and experience is the best teacher.

Yeah, shotguns rule. Can't tell how many times I've been saved by a good old pump-action. Also agree with the positioning part, it's easy to forget about the circle when you're in the heat of battle, but damn that storm hurts. Stay safe peeps!

Solid advice. I would also add that using your headphones can seriously give you an advantage. You'd hear enemy movements and shots way before you'd see them.
Also, for building, try to set up your keybinds that you're comfortable with. It really helps to have stair, wall, and floor on keys you can easily acces. Practice in creative, set up different scenarios. Don't be afraid to experiment and change things around until it feels right for you.
