Why Do Mosquitoes Exist?!!

Can we talk about mosquitoes just UGH?! WHY?! These little insects ruin every outdoor activity for me. I can't enjoy anything outside without constant buzzin' and bitin'!!!! IS THERE ANY POINT TO THEM?? I heard they help the ecosystem or smth, but HOW?! They're just tiny vampires!! Anyway, just rantin', sucks being dinner for a bug.

I get that they're annoying but let's think bigger picture. Mosquito larvae purify water by eating organic waste. Plus they're food for a ton of animals. So next time you swat, remember you're hitting an essential link in the food chain.

I know right?! They're a right pain. Try covering up more and using bug spray or something.

Tiny vampires for sure!! HATE those little 🐷🐷! Repellents, long sleeves, pants, and still, they get ya! Part of ecosystem... pfttt... just another reason to stay inside, away from nature! Can't trust em.

Welcome to the world of outdoor activities. Mosquitoes bite, it stings, then we hate them. Circle of life, mate.

Biology nerd here. Mosquitoes are actually super important pollinators. Some plants rely solely on them to progress through their lifecycle. As annoying as they are, they're kinda vital for the earth for those reasons. But yeah, the biting part... not fun and I feel you there.

I totally agree!! But you said it yourself - they're part of the ecosystem, ecosystem wack. All I care about is not getting eaten alive. Ever tried natural repellents like citronella or eucalyptus oil? They mask your smell, suppose to keep mosquitos away...doesn't always work tho.

Lol, I feel ya! But there's a reason these bloodsuckers exist. As larvae, mosquitoes help in breaking down organic matter in water and are eaten by fish. As adults, they're food for birds, bats, spiders... basically anything that eats tiny annoying bugs.
