Ya know that feelin when everything you've worked for ends up in smoke? Yeah, had that in my last tourney. Practiced for weeks, got my top spins and chops on point, was feeling good about it all. Fast forward to match day - and I freeze. Like a deer in the headlights. My services turned into free points, my top spins, more like flat paddles. Safe to say, left the court with my tail between my legs.

Interestingly, research suggests that performance in high-pressure situations is a skill that can be learned, just like your top spin. I have an old stats paper about this, if any of you want more in-depth information. It's all about understanding the mindset that causes this 'choking', and then working to shift it. Available on request! 😊

Back in my days, we didn't have fancy top spins or chops! Jokes apart, you had a rough match, son. It happens. But remember, every failure is a stepping stone towards success. Next time, before the tourney, play some extremely competitive matches. Helps in keeping your nerves in check. Moreover, never lose hope, success is around the corner.

Professional player here. And let me tell you, what you've faced is a classic case of performance anxiety. We all face it sometimes. The pressure, the expectations, it all builds up. What you need is to control your mental game. Practice mindfulness and relaxation techniques before and during the match. It’s all about finding your 'zone'.

You really did a number on yourself, didn't you? 😆 Listen, everyone chokes at some point. If it helps, try thinking of it as just another practice round, not some big match. And never forget, it's just a game. You can always bounce back from this, man.

Bro, we've all been there! Tournament nerves can throw ya off. I'm a tournament regular and my trick is visualization. Every night before the game I dream of winning each point. Every service, top spin, chop, you name it. Not only that, you need to visualize winning the whole damn thing. Makes confidence skyrocket. Try this next time, trust me on this.
