My rec league football catastrophe

So yesterday we were in our local rec league flag football championship game. We made it to overtime, and I fumbled the ball on the last play - I might as well been butterfingers! My team hasn't let me live it down all day...FML 😢

Been playing flag football for years, man. Fumbled many times, won some, lost some but every screw up makes you a better player. Learn from it, don't let it bog you down. And about your mates, well, if they aren't ribbing you, I'd say they're not really your friends. It's all in good fun. You'll be fine!

Dang man, I just joined a rec league and this post gives me the jitters. How do you handle the teasing and face your team again? Here for all advice.

Mate, u an official sponsor for Butterfingers candy bars now? 😹 Stay positive, everyone fumbles. The greats just learn and move on, so do the same. Next time, you'll score the winning touchdown. You've got this!

LOL, that's exactly why I watch you guys play at the rec league! You never know what goof-ups are gonna happen and it's a blast to watch! Thanks for the share and for the laugh. Remember, it's just a friendly game, so take it easy on yourself.

Just a fellow rec league player here. I've been there man, nothing to sweat about. I once tripped over my own shoelace and cost us the game. It was embarrassing as hell, but we all got a laugh out of it later. That's the beauty of rec league. It's just about having fun with friends, so keep your head up!

Coach weighs in here. Fumbles happen even to the best of NFL pros. Instead of dwelling on the mess-up, analyze what led to it. Were your fingers sweaty? Was the grip wrong? Knowing the cause can help you avoid repeating the same mistake next time. Practice & improve. Also, tell your teammates it's a team sport, not a single player's job. After all, no player alone wins or loses a game.

Hey pal, don't sweat it. Flubs are part of the game, dude. U coulda been prime-time Brady, but even he throws an occasional pickle. Ur buds will forget it soon. Just laugh it off & come back stronger next game! 🏈
