The 'All Smoothie' Diet, Spoiler: It's a blenderful of NOPE

Jumped on the smoothie bandwagon — all in. 30 days of nothing but smoothies. All the color of the rainbow, they said. It'll be fun, they said.

Day 15 is when the cravings hit. Dreamt of pizza running away from me. Stuck through it, but let me tell ya, there's only so much blended kale a person can take before you start questioning life choices. It's been real, but I'll be sticking to chewing my food from now on.

Why stop at 30 days? Go for the full 365! Breakfast smoothie, lunch smoothie, dinner smoothie... 2024, year of the blender! But seriously, ditch the kale and get yourself a burger.

Whoever told you an all smoothie diet was fun, obviously never experienced the joy of mastication. Throw some BBQ ribs in the blender and call it a smoothie if you must, but for heaven's sake, eat something that doesn’t require a straw.

Alright, so here's the thing, smoothies can work, but only as PART of a diet, not the whole thing. You gotta have real meals too or yeah, you're gonna dream of every food you ever loved. And chewing is like, actually good for your metabolism and stuff. Keep at it with the smoothie for that post-workout boost, but maybe invite a salad or something to join in on the fun.

Been on a smoothie diet for a while. Dreaming of pizza is just the beginning. Wait until you start hallucinating steak scents. Back to solid food, you've done your time!

Day 15? Rookie numbers! Kidding. Had a friend who did this and by week two, they were tossing in beef jerky and fries hoping for a miracle. Stick to chewing, your teeth have been feeling lonely!

Hey! There's actually a science to this. Going all in with smoothies isn't bad if you're doing it right - it's all about variety and nutritional balance. But listen, cravings are natural. Your body is telling you it needs certain nutrients that you're not getting from the liquid rainbow. Instead of giving up, why not try a more structured approach? There's a great book, 'The Smoothie Science', that breaks down how to balance your smoothie intake. Might help you not to bail on the smoothie train just yet.

You gotta ease into these things, can't just dive in headfirst and expect to swim like Michael Phelps. Balance is key! Try smoothies for breakfast and chewable meals for lunch and dinner. Your jaw and sanity will thank you. Keep up the nutrition game, but maybe with less liquid.

I feel you, smoothie pal. Started chewing my wall out of desperation by day 10. Whoever came up with all-smoothie diets clearly hates joy. And food. And probably puppies too. Nothing replaces the glorious crunch of a pizza crust. NOTHING.
