90s Sci-fi show with parallel universes

Guys, I need to figure out this show from the 90s, I'm dying here trying to remember. There was a team of people who traveled to parallel worlds using some weird device. One of the guys had long hair and there was a professor involved. Absolutely not Sliders - it was way more low budget and had these crazy monsters sometimes. Each episode was a different world with its own problems. Any ideas??

Could it be 'Beyond the Rift'? Had a pretty eclectic mix of universes, like really weird stuff, definitely low-budget vibes. One week it's a world ruled by sentient plants, next it's some urban dystopia with cyberpunk rebels. Wish they'd make shows like that again!

Yo, totally know what you’re talkin about. That’s 'Monster Jumpers'! Each episode they’d have a new monster to deal with in a new dimension. Super low budget, super fun, and super hard to find these days.

That show sounds like a fever dream, are you sure you didn't just imagine it while you were zoning out to the 'Magic School Bus?'

Not Sliders, huh? Tough one then. I remember a show where they always seemed to end up in some dystopian version of earth but the name escapes me. Had a cool steampunk vibe to the gadget they used.

It’s definitely not one of the well-known series. Your description reminds me of 'Vortex Voyagers', though that's a very obscure title. They dealt with alternate realities but also temporal anomalies. Their budget constraints were obvious, especially with the creatures that looked like they were right out of a B-movie. The long-haired character you're mentioning could be Johnny 'The Vortex' Vincent.

Might be thinking of 'Parallels'? Though it was a one-off show, not 90s. If it's not Sliders then my best bet would be 'Crossworlds', had some weird creatures in it too.

Sounds like you're describing 'The Othersiders'. It was super low budget and kinda cheesy but had some cool ideas. Decent cult following for a while. The long-haired dude and the professor were part of a team that used a device like an oldschool tv remote to jump worlds. Good luck finding it streaming anywhere though lol.
