None of the shows today hold a candle to the classics. Remember 'Grit and Grime,' the detective series from the '70s? Pure television gold. You had complex characters, storylines that actually made you think, and none of this over-the-top special effects nonsense. Now it's all superheroes and reality TV. TV's gone to the dogs, I tell you.

Couldn't agree more, 'Grit and Grime' was a masterpiece. Kids today are all about instant gratification and shiny graphics. It's the slow burn of shows from the '70s that made them so impactful. And acting! The acting back then was leagues above what you see on the screen now.

Let's not view the past with too much nostalgia, shall we? While I concede 'Grit and Grime' had its charm and indeed presented more challenging narrative arcs, one should acknowledge the innovation in modern storytelling. And sometimes, complex characters do exist beneath the superhero capes, if one looks closely.
