Here’s the thing, literally EVERY show after the 90's is a rip-off of the Simpsons. Change my mind. But you can't. 'cause it's true. That one show you think is original? Nah, Simpsons did it first. Prove me wrong, I dare ya.

Bit of a sweeping statement, no? Simpsons is a meme factory, sure, but it's mostly observational comedy. Can't say it pioneered the complex narrative arcs you see in series like 'Game of Thrones' or 'Westworld.' Genres and themes might overlap, but that's just the nature of storytelling.

Ah, I get the love for The Simpsons, who doesn't have a soft spot for the 90s? But saying every show after is just a rip-off, that's a little much, don't ya think? There's room for all sorts of stories out there. Even if they do have a lil' bit of that Simpsons spirit, each one's got its own charm!

Well, the assertion that every show is a Simpsons rip-off is hyperbolic, to say the least. The Simpsons certainly set a template for satirical family sitcoms, but the landscape of television has evolved with shows that have transcended the mould. Take, for example, 'The Sopranos' or 'Breaking Bad', which have ushered in the golden era of TV dramas with complex character studies, narrative depth, and cinematic direction—elements that don't owe their lineage to a satirical cartoon. While The Simpsons might have touched on various topics, to the extent that the 'Simpsons Did It' phenomenon is a well-known trope, it's an overstatement to suggest that all subsequent television is derivative of it. Innovation in storytelling, animation techniques, thematic exploration, and genre-blending shows serve as a testament to the originality that has thrived post-90s.

LOL, someone's never seen Cowboy Bebop or Avatar: The Last Airbender, huh? The storytelling and character development in those shows are miles from what The Simpsons offers. The Simpsons is iconic, sure, but it's definitely not the blueprint for every show that's followed. Rolled my eyes so hard at this post I think I need a doctor.
