Spent a year planning an outdoor wedding down to the last petal on the tables. Forecast was clear ALL week. What's that saying about the best-laid plans? Yeah, downpour in the middle of our 'I do's'. Pastor shouted over the thunder, we raced through vows like a couple of wet rats. Should have just eloped. Anyone else's perfect day ruined by surprise weather?

Big virtual hug! I got married recently and can't imagine the stress you went through. 😟 Remember though, at the end of the day, you married the love of your life and no torrential rain can take that away. Have you thought about doing a fun photoshoot with your wedding attire in the sun as a do-over?

As a planner, I always warn my clients to have a solid Plan B for this exact reason. Weather is the one guest you can't predict or control. Tents, indoor options, or just some cute umbrellas can save the day. Really sorry to hear about the downpour disaster, though. Future brides and grooms browsing this thread, please take note!

You're telling me! Had the same thing happen. Perfect sunshine all morning. Guests seated, music starts, and we get a full-on midsummer storm. Instead of the aisle, I walked through mud. It was a mess, but guess what? Now it's the funniest memory from the whole event. Everyone still talks about it, and honestly, it brought everyone closer together. You'll laugh about this someday, promise!

Ugh, that's brutal. Sounds like your special day needed a rain check, literally. My cousin had a sunny forecast for her beach wedding last year and boom, hurricane-style winds decided to make a guest appearance. Nature really doesn’t care about RSVPs.
