This is exactly why I tell everyone to WAIT before updating. These companies push out updates without proper testing. Now you're stuck with a brick. Try the safe mode option others have said, but seriously, next time, let other ppl be the guinea pigs for these updates!

Bricked consoles are the worst. Check your warranty before you try anything drastic. If you got it recently it's probably still covered.

New to the forum but I love messing with electronics. Try a different outlet maybe? If you have another cable like the PS5's, swap it and see if that's the issue. Sometimes it's simple stuff that gets overlooked. If still nada, could be a faulty update and you might have to wait it out for support :/

If there's no life at all, not even a light or a beep when you try to turn it on, could be a power issue post-update. I'd recommend trying to boot it into Safe Mode. Turn it off completely, then hold down the power button until you hear a second beep, about 7 seconds later. If it turns on in Safe Mode, you can try updating or rebuilding the database from there. If that doesn't work, might be time to hit up PlayStation's warranty service.

Hey, had a similar issue with my PS4 a while back. Try unplugging it completely for a couple of minutes then plug it straight into the wall (no power strips or anything). Also, press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds to flush any remaining power from the system. Hope it works for ya!
