Overheated tablet burnt my comforter

Was binge watching shows in bed with my tablet resting on the comforter. Got up to grab some snacks, only to smell burning fabric. This thing was so hot it scorched my blanket and its own screen. Unsafe much???

So when's the BBQ? Heard tablets can grill a mean steak. Better luck next tablet - erm, I mean time!

Please tell me you have a smoke detector in your room! You're lucky you came back when you did!

Document everything. Take pics of the tablet, the comforter, everything. This could help you in a warranty or insurance claim. Hit them up on social media too. Companies hate bad PR, it could speed things up for you. Stay safe, nobody needs a repeat of Note 7 shenanigans...

Well, that's a new one, got a two-for-one deal on a tablet and an improvised heating element. But seriously, contact support, they gotta know they're basically selling hidden campfires.

Lemme guess, no more warranty? And they'll say it's your fault for blocking ventilation? I swear, some of these devices...

That totally sucks! 😲 My tablet gets warm but never that hot. Maybe try those laptop cooling pads next time?

That's messed up, you should def chip in with the warranty or raise hell with customer service. Modern devices have fail-safes to prevent overheating to that extent. Maybe you got a faulty unit? Anyway, always best practice to not leave gadgets on soft surfaces like a bed. Those vents need air circulation, or yeah... things might get toasty 🔥🔥🔥

Yikes, that's rough. Might be worth checking if there's a recall on that tablet or at least letting the manufacturer know. A device shouldn't get so hot it burns stuff. Could prevent the next unlucky person from setting their bed on fire...
