Low 'n' Slow Disaster

Been smoking meats for a decade. Today, I loaded up my prized brisket into the smoker, got that perfect ring of smoke churning out. Left to catch a game – you gotta trust the process, right? Wrong. Came back, smoker's gone out, brisket's colder than my ex's heart. Lost hours, can't revive it. A day's worth of prep, down the drain.

Dude, bummer about the brisket! Had a similar disaster with my pulled pork once. Now I swear by a leaving a Bluetooth temp gauge in there. Can keep an eye on it from anywhere. There's always next time - don't let it beat ya!

Feel your pain, brother. Sometimes the BBQ gods are just not in our favor. It might be worth inspecting the smoker for air leaks or faulty parts that could cause it to lose temp. You might also consider using a reliable back-up heat source. Also, check the weather conditions before you start, changes in the environment can affect your smoker’s performance in unexpected ways.Keep on smoking and maybe next brisket will be the best one yet.

This is why I went electric with a smart app. Set, forget, and the app bugs me if temps dip. Still, I feel your pain. Lost a rack of ribs one time because of a power outage. Investing in good tech might save you from another heartbreak.

Brisket's colder than your ex's heart? Guess you've got a type— ouch, for both your dating life and your meat. Try a sous-vide next time, less chance to freeze your dinner that way 😂

I smoked my first brisket last week and it barely turned out edible, I can’t even imagine your pain ☹️.

Cold brisket, cold heart… coincidence? But seriously, sucks about your smoke. Can't say I haven't done the same. Next time, maybe leave the game on in the background? Brisket babysitting ain't glamorous, but it's necessary.

Man, that's tough. Been there tho. Pro tip: get a wireless dual probe thermometer. Checks your meat and smoker temps. Alerts your phone if something's up. Never trust a smoker fully, technology failing us BBQ lovers all the time!
