Love spicy food. Can't get enough of chili, hot sauce, you name it. But today, my spice culture exploded in my face. Added some ghost pepper sauce to my morning eggs. Guess they didn’t appreciate the heat too much. Long story short, eggs everywhere, still cleaning up. Just another foodie disaster in the book. #spicegonewrong #explosivebreakfast

The 'explosion' is due to the reaction between the capsaicin (or, element causing spice heat) in the ghost pepper sauce and the proteins in the eggs. Cooking them together at high temperatures causes steam to build up and can indeed result in an 'explosion'. The heat can cause the eggs to sputter and possibly burst. A fun yet messy science experiment in the making!

OP probs put the ghost pepper sauce in the eggs while cookin and it just went kaboom! Ghost pepper sauce got real kick to it, super volatile and all that. Heat build-up can cause expanding gases n stuff. I guess even foods fight back when you treat em bad lol

As a fellow spice enthusiast, I feel your pain. High heat and sauces, especially ones with volatile oils like our friend the Ghost Pepper, can cause quite the mess. Moral of the story, lower your heat, or embrace the chaos. Keep on spicing, fellow Scovillian.
