Tried to install a new sink, and guess what happened...

So, I've fixed stuff around the house before. How hard could it be to install a sink, right? Followed a YouTube vid, got all the right tools. 4 hours in, I'm under the sink, twisting some pipe thing, and then... Niagara falls, but in my kitchen. Water's still off, pipe's busted, and my dog's having the time of his life. Anyone got a good plumber's number?

Licensed plumber here. This is classic – someone watches one YouTube video and thinks they're the next handyman hero. No offense, buddy. Look, next time just call a pro before you create an indoor water feature. You likely twisted a corroded valve or over-tightened a P-trap. Sheesh, that sounds like a proper disaster. I'll let you in on a little secret: duct tape, my friend. Fixes almost anything... temporarily. Wrap it around the busted pipe until you get a real plumber in there. Still, doesn't hurt to have some around while you're up to your ankles in kitchen pool water.

Congratulations on the indoor pool! Seriously tho, type 'emergency plumber' + your city into google and pray they don't charge an arm n a leg. And get your dog a life vest. It's gonna be a wet ride.

Ah, the ol' Niagara kitchen special! I ain't a licensed plumber but I've dealt with my fair share of waterworks. Next time make sure you're twisting the right pipe. Not all of 'em are meant to be twisted, some just need a gentle nudge. And cap it off fast if you see a leak starting – time's not your friend here. As for a plumber's number, sorry bud, my go-to moved to Bali to become a surf instructor.

Oh man, been there done that. Sucks big time but at least your dog's having a blast? 😅 Pro tip: check the main valve's properly shut and when in doubt, do NOT overtighten. May the plumbing gods be with you from now on.
