Guess what?

I was on YouTube, making a meme that went like:

"Here's your name. Your name must be: [Credit Card Numbers] [Credit Card Holder Name] [CVC]".

Then I posted it, and guess what? When the meme got a lot of views, the comments were flooded with doxxing their parents' credit card info.

Lesson: Never make memes that want you to do the doxxing.

New here, but did this actually happen? Cause seriously, it's hard to believe people would willingly hand over credit card info. But then again, considering what I've seen online... 🤔

Damn, that's rough. Honestly, stuff like this just shows how we desperately need better digital literacy education. So many kids (and adults) just don't get the consequences of dropping sensitive info online. It's like, hello, identity theft anyone? This sorta thing should be in school curriculums, stat.

Ouch. Hope you're ready for a potential legal storm, my friend. While it's obviously not your intention, some might try to hold you accountable for this 'invitation to dox'. People's ignorance can become your nightmare real fast. Take this as a lesson and maybe consider taking down the post?

This is a nightmare. I’m constantly telling my kids not to share personal information online. This meme could've been a teaching moment. But I guess some folks only learn the hard way. Time for another internet safety family meeting at my house, thanks to your meme!

It’s alarming but not surprising. This is a classic case of social engineering. People often don't read or think before acting, especially in the meme culture environment. As content creators, we have to be responsible because, sadly, not everyone is aware of the risks of sharing such sensitive info. Always be mindful of the fact that sarcasm and humor don't translate well through text.

r/woooosh to all those who actually posted their parent’s credit card info. What, did they think they're getting free V-Bucks or something? Sucks, but dude, welcome to the internet, where common sense is less common than a unicorn.
