Tried to cut my own hair, no surprises

Let's just say I won't be in any shampoo commercials any time soon.

Hair grows about 1/2 inch per month. So, depending on how bad your current 'do is, give it a couple of months and you'll be back to normal. Meanwhile, invest in a few stylish hats.

Oh, don't worry, it's just hair, it'll grow back. At least you had the courage to do it yourself, many wouldn't dare. And who knows, maybe it will start a new trend, the DIY cut.

Just shave it all off, easy breeze. Join us baldies, we've got cookies and lots of saved money on shampoo. 😜

Barber here.

No biggie, happens to the best of us. Cutting your own hair isn't as easy as it seems, especially the back and hard to reach areas like behind the ears.

For the rest of us, there are a few things to consider. Firstly, use the right tools - get a pair of hair cutting scissors if you can, kitchen scissors are not designed for hair and can result in uneven cuts.

Also, don’t go straight into it with the scissors on long hair, trim it a bit with clippers or a trimmer. Lastly, take your time! And if things go really wrong, remember, hair grows back.

In the meantime, there's nothing wrong with a shaved look. You might just end up liking it!

Hey, at least you had the guts to give it a try! My first time I ended up looking like I had been in a fight with a lawnmower. It gets better, trust me. Might need a hat for a while tough. 🤣
