Broke two mugs in a day. Digestively, disastrously dunk-rupt!

Story time, friends! Today's chronicle? A tale of two mugs, both alike in dignity...

Start the day, sunshine's out, I'm vibing. Decided to kick it off with a cup of joe, in my fav 'sunny-side-up' mug. Walking back to my desk, I trip. Coffee laden mug goes flying, smashes to the floor. In the spirit of optimism, I think 'hey, coulda been worse, at least the coffee didn't splash on my laptop'.

Move on to the afternoon. Decided to console myself with tea and biccies. Method? Dunking. The pride before the fall, they say, and boy were they right! Dunked a digestive into my 'keep calm and dunk on' mug, broke the handle clean off. Dunk-rupt, literally! Two casualties, one day. Well, that sucks. On to the next optimistically klutzy adventure!

That's painful to hear! Treasured mugs have such character. Find any good replacements yet? If not, check out second-hand shops or flea markets. They sometimes have cool old mugs.

Consider filling your cup on the desk next time? It's worked wonders for me since I knocked my coffee onto my keyboard last year.

Oh, another mug bites the dust! Love your story-telling, despite the disaster. Tea and biccies though, you're a person after my own heart. Stay clumsy, my friend. It keeps life interesting!

Mate, the mugs are just retaliating. They’ve had enough of the dunking. Fight the power! #JusticeForMugs

Welcome to the club, bud! Btw, holders and travel mugs are a game changer for the clumsy among us. Less precious moments to worry about. Also, don't walk with socks on a hardwood floor! Learned that one the hard way.

Sounds like a vexing day! I'm curious now, were these stoneware or porcelain mugs? The handle breaking off sounds like a flaw in the glazing process. Sorry for the loss.

lol rip your mugs. Been there fam. Now I just use a travel mug. Even if I'm not going anywhere. Less breakable, plus coffee stays hot! Also, the seal means no unexpected coffee sprays on my gear.

Man, your kitchen must be a warzone! Yeah, I'd say the laptop was a 'glass-half-full' dodge. Advice though? Maybe grab some plastic mugs for a while, we clearly aren't on speaking terms with gravity.
