Spilled coffee on my laptop an hour before an online meeting

Pulled an all-nighter for a major client presentation. Just as I was about to wrap up, reach for my coffee, slip and boom - hot coffee all over my laptop. The screen goes blank, heart goes into overdrive. In one swift move, went from potential employee of the month to master of disaster. Here's a pro tip: always, always have a separate workstation and consumption station. Also, auto-save is a legit lifesaver.

I hope after this fiasco you've invested in a spill-proof mug. Latte karma can be quite the bitch sometimes.

The essence of life and its ironies, encapsulated perfectly in your situation. Amidst the chaos of existence, we are often the architects of our misery. Man, unknowingly, creates mountains out of molehills. Peace and coffee to you, fellow wanderer.

Same thing happened to me. Ended up getting a new laptop. Brace for impact, it ain't gonna resurrect it.

Those are the moments that build our resilience. Drink your coffee away from the workstation, young blood. They ain't wrong when they say wisdom comes at a price.

I feel your pain! Had a similar disaster scenario with a bowl of cereal. Electronics and food/drink just don’t mix. Remembered to respect the workstation consumption station divide but you know clumsy people, we find a way to screw it up anyway. 🐘 in a ⚽ shop here!

Ha! Coffee on laptop? That's a new way to overclock it. Maybe next time use a cooler liquid, bro.

Pro tip for the future, if your laptop can support it, consider using an external keyboard and mouse. It can potentially save you from similar disasters by adding a layer of separation between your coffee mug and the actual machine. Also, invest in a good cloud backup system for your important files. You could potentially save hours of work.

Damn, that's rough dude. Can't imagine a day starting without my cup of joe, but not like this. Hope you got your presentation sorted out, though. And remember, coffee on desk, laptop on lap. If the coffee spills, it's hot jeans not a fried laptop.
