The ultimate guide to an epic US West Coast road trip

Alright wanderers, if you're thinking about hitting the West Coast, let me lay out the dream road trip for ya. Start in Seattle, grab a coffee, because it's a must, and brace yourself for a journey down the Pacific Coast Highway. Hug the coastline with stops in Portland, the Redwoods, SFO, Big Sur (a slice of heaven, I tell ya), ending in San Diego. Allocate at least 2 weeks. Trust me; you'll be making stops every 5 minutes for those Insta-worthy views. Campgrounds, Airbnb, hostels, you've got options for days. Don't rush it; the West Coast deserves your time. Be sure to have your vehicle checked, roadside assistance on speed dial, and an epic playlist. Dive into local eats- seafood, tacos, the works. This route is pure magic, so soak it in and drive safe!

If you're doing the remote work thing like me, the PCH is a dream. Seaside cafes with Wi-Fi up and down the coast. Also hostels > Airbnb if you're solo and want to meet fellow travelers. Don’t rush Big Sur, find a spot to watch the sunset!

Epic playlist you say? Drop some recs! Something about driving with the ocean on one side and the perfect track on is peak freedom. I'm all indie and classic rock for the vibes, what's on your list?

LOL good luck with traffic in LA, hope your playlist has like 500 songs. Maybe just skip the city altogether unless you love breathing car fumes.

Solid advice on the vehicle check and roadside assistance. Stretches of the PCH are pretty remote, and last thing you want is to be stranded. Also, check out the elephant seals near San Simeon, they're wild!

San Diego is awesome, but don't miss La Jolla Cove, especially if you're into kayaking or want to see some seals. Grab some fish tacos at Oscars!

Redwoods are amazing, make sure to give yourself plenty of time there! If you love nature, also consider a detour to Crater Lake in Oregon. It's not directly on the coast but so worth it!

Hit up all the food spots in SF, the Mission District burritos are life-changing. And if you're in Portland, Voodoo Donuts is a cliche, but c'mon, you gotta. San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter has some cool bars if you wanna chill after all that driving.

Dude, yes! The PCH is legendary. Did this with my pals last summer and every stop was better than the last. Can't stress enough how much Big Sur lives up to the hype. Also, check out the secret beaches along the Oregon coast, totally worth the detour!
