Hidden gems in New York City - Go!

NYC again! But this time I'm ditching the usual tourist traps. Where're those hidden alleys, that speakeasy no one knows about, that tiny museum forgotten by guide books? I want the real New York. Lay 'em on me! 🗽🌆

Hidden gems? In this economy? Ha! Good luck finding a place in NYC that isn’t overrun by Instagrammers or closed down. Let me know if you find an actual alley without a line for a popup shop selling $10 coffee.

Sneakerheads know to hit up the hidden shops in Lower East Side. But there's also this small basketball court on Stanton Street that has some insane streetball games. Not touristy at all.

Forget the fancy places. There's this teeny tiny spot called Los Tacos No. 1 in Chelsea Market—hands down the best tacos you'll find in the city. No seats, just a counter but omygod, authentic and delicious!

The usual spots like Central Park are great but why not try something different. The Elevated Acre in FiDi is a little-known green oasis with awesome views of the river. Plus hardly anyone talks about it!

For a forgotten slice of history, swing by the City Reliquary in Williamsburg. It's this quirky little spot with NYC artifacts – like old subway tokens and World's Fair memorabilia. Totally underrated and overshadowed by the bigger museums.

Here's a challenge: find the Berlin, underneath 2A in the East Village. It's a gritty little rock club, but man does it ooze pure New York charisma. Side note—if you can get into PDT (Please Don't Tell) through the phone booth in Crif Dogs, that's an actual speakeasy experience.

If you're into jazz, you gotta hit up Smalls Jazz Club in Greenwich Village. It's literally underground and the vibes are amazing. Not exactly a speakeasy but has that feel ya know?

Gotta check out the Tenement Museum on the Lower East Side. It's super unique and really dives into immigrant life in NYC back in the day. Not your typical museum, it's all about the real stories and they do these apartment tours that are just fascinating.
