Renovating my room and goin' all out on a travel theme cause heck, can't be on the road all the time right? Thinkin' of filling a wall with a giant map where I can pin all the places I've been. Any other cool ideas that scream 'world traveller' without being too cheesy? 🌍

This is so up my alley! How about making a corkboard wall instead of just a map? You can pin photos, tickets, postcards, and, of course, your map on there. If you’re handy, maybe create a headboard from old wooden signs you come across in your travels? It's a great conversation starter! And don't forget lighting - fairy lights or even those cute little string lights shaped like different landmarks could be fab.

Consider a more understated approach. A nicely framed collection of currency from various countries you've visited can be quite elegant. Incorporate elements from nature – sand from deserts, rocks from mountains, or dried flowers from meadows you've wandered through. Upcycle them into art pieces. It's a sophisticated touch that speaks to the essence of travel without looking gimmicky.

Haha love the idea! Maybe you could add a globe somewhere in there, like one of those vintage ones that spin! And like coasters from different pubs or cafes you've been to. Oh, and you can replace regular drawer knobs with ones that look like compasses or something. 🧭

If you wanna avoid that 'tourist trap' vibe, steer clear of anything that looks like it was bought at an airport gift shop, lol. Maybe throw in some authentic, locally-made textiles as curtains or throws. They'll have better stories when people ask about them too.

Nice one on the map idea—that's classic! Have you thought about installing floating shelves to display souvenirs like snow globes, mugs or figures from everywhere you've been? Also, using old suitcases as storage can look pretty cool and thematic. Oh! And if you're into books, maybe a shelf for travel literature or guides you've collected.
