Guys, I just completed the Annapurna Circuit trek and I have to share this incredible experience. Took 17 days total, and it was challenging but so worth it. The scenery, the people, the teahouses along the way, everything was amazing. If you're thinking about doing it, do it! Make sure you're well-prepared though, altitude sickness is no joke. Anyone else here done it? Would love to swap stories!

Congrats on completing the circuit. Folks, please don't take altitude sickness lightly as OP mentioned. Saw way too many people get helicoptered out when I did it. AMS can hit anyone, doesn't matter how fit you are. Listen to your body, acclimatize properly, and descend if you feel symptoms.

I have to share about my trek on the Annapurna Circuit last year! It took me 21 days, taking my sweet time to really soak in the culture and nature's beauty. Those views of Dhaulagiri and Machapuchare are imprinted in my mind. The local hospitality blew me away, especially the family that ran the teahouse in Upper Pisang – their warmth on cold nights was heart-melting.
And let's talk about the food – those home-cooked meals gave me life after long days of hiking. Sure, lots of dal bhat, but I still dream about the momos and apple pie from Marpha.
Also made some lasting friendships with trekkers from all over! We ended up forming a little international group, shared stories, played cards, and encouraged each other throughout those challenging ascents. The highlight for me was the sunrise at Poon Hill, just magical.
It truly changes you, doesn’t it? The combination of physical challenge, natural beauty, and cultural immersion – it's unmatched. How was your experience with the locals? Any particular village or moment that stood out?

17 days? Nice pace. Did you get any of that snow at higher altitudes? I got caught in a blizzard near Manang a few years back, had to hunker down for a couple of days. Totally agree about the altitude sickness, saw too many folks underestimating the acclimatization.
