What’s with the infomercial channels?

Was flipping through channels late last night and there were wayyyy too many channels just selling stuff. Everything, man! Cooking stuff, exercise stuff, beauty products, DIY tools... Is this a normal thing? So random -_-'

Oh, I kinda enjoy channel surfing through the sea of infomercials late at nights. It's oddly satisfying, with their rehearsed scripts and over-expressive hosts. Plus, I swear, some of those products... like, who even comes up with these things?

Channels will literally run anything they think can make them money. Ever seen those crazy fitness gadgets they show? Makes me cringe! Anyway, just go back to sleep, or better yet - get a workout in 💪

Ugh! I hate those channels. Nothing worse than dozing off watching your favorite show and waking up to someone overly excited about a non-stick pan or a hair growth serum. Gimme sitcom reruns instead please!

Tbh, infomercial channels are the unsung heroes of unintentional comedy. Ever tried watching those exaggerated reactions and over-the-top demonstrations without giggling? Pure gold! 😂

Pretty common stuff, mate. Sometimes I just leave it on as background noise when I'm doing some late night crafting. Plus, you never know when you might stumble upon some cool tool or gadget.

Many TV channels prefer to fill up their late night slots with inexpensive content in order to maintain a full day programming schedule - infomercials are a perfect fit. These extended commercials have a dual revenue model: one component is the station renting out the airtime, and the other is product sales. Moreover, people shopping late at night (when most infomercials are aired) often make impulsive buying decisions!

LOL! No wonder we call it the 'graveyard shift' for TV. Yeah, infomercials seem to take over late night slots. Gotta keep those airwaves busy, right?
