ugh trying to prove to my kid that shows were way funnier back in the day. There was this 90s sitcom, super popular but all I remember was the annoying laugh track that went off every 5 seconds and the main guy who was a total goofball, wore weird shirts. Driving me nuts. what the heck is the name?!

It's absolutely 'Home Improvement'. Aired from 1991 until 1999. It starred Tim Allen as Tim Taylor, the host of a home renovation show called 'Tool Time'. The show is known for the running gag of never fully revealing the neighbor Wilson's face. Also, Patricia Richardson played his wife, Jill, and they had three sons known for getting into various shenanigans. The laugh track? Oh yes, it was incessant.

Hey, if it's not ringing bells with 'Home Improvement', try 'Martin' or 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air'. Both 90s to the core, laugh tracks aplenty, and the main guys carried the shows with their humor. And both had their fair share of wild fashion choices!

Sounds like you're thinking of 'Home Improvement' with Tim Allen! Classic show, man. He was always wearing those odd shirts, had the tool belt, and was a total clown. Plus, yep, the laugh track was—let’s say—generous. LOL your kid's gotta see it!
