That's definitely ringing some bells. Giant swords are pretty common though. Might be 'Claymore', since it's also from around that time period. Claire doesn’t wield a particularly giant sword, but she is a powerful warrior among other women with big swords. Can't place the pink-haired mage exactly... Could be thinking of someone from 'Fairy Tail', that'd be Erza for the sword and Juvia for the magic, but hair's not pink. Kinda a stretch but worth a shot?

OMG! That totally sounds like 'Rave Master' to me! The main character, Haru, has a huge sword called the Ten Commandments and there's a girl with pink hair, Ellie! Magic, swords, world-saving adventure, it's got all that jazz!

Hmm, ya description kinda fits a lot of shows, but the big sword thing brings to mind 'Sword Art Online' or 'Berserk'. In SAO, Kirito's got some huge swords sometimes, but not exactly like 'no one else can lift'. For the mage girl with pink hair... could be Lisbeth, but her hair is more purplish. Definitely need more detail to nail this one down better.

Sounds a bit like 'The Sacred Blacksmith' to me? MC has a sword no one else can wield and there's a girl with magic. Not 100% sure about the pink hair tho. Check it out?
