Hey all, got a real brain teaser here and it’s been bugging me for weeks. I can’t for the life of me remember the name of this show from my childhood. It must've been from the 80s or early 90s. All I remember is that it was sci-fi, set on a submarine or some sea base, and there was this dolphin that could talk through a translator device. The intro had synth music and blue oceanic vibes. Ring any bells for anyone?

Could be 'seaQuest DSV' but also throwing in another wild option, just in case: 'Stingray' from the late '80s? That had some bizarre plots and hybrid sea creatures, though not a talking dolphin per se. Long shot but thought I’d mention it!

Seasoned TV buff here. You're absolutely recalling seaQuest DSV. It aired from 1993-1996. Produced by Spielberg, it had the futuristic UEO seaQuest submarine and the crew's interactions with marine life, including Darwin, the dolphin who used a special device to communicate. The series tried to blend education about the ocean with science fiction adventure.
