Okay this is driving me nuts... There was this one cartoon from the 80s, had talking vehicles but it WASN'T ‘Transformers’. These cars, trucks, whatever had faces. And they went on missions, I think? Man, it had toys that were killer too. The main car was red I'm pretty sure. Anyone gotta clue?

Actually, I think you’re both off. ‘MASK’ has vehicles but no faces on them, and ‘The Wheeled Warriors’ aka ‘Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors’ was more sci-fi with sentient plants. What OP is describing sounds an awful lot like ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ meets ‘G.I. Joe’. The one you’re trying to remember is ‘Turbo Teen’. The red car you're thinking of is a teenager who turns into a sports car. But if it’s really the one with faces on vehicles, it’s gotta be ‘Autobots’ or 'GoBots', maybe even ‘BraveStarr’ had a transforming vehicle with a face, IIRC.

Nah, it's not MASK, that series had more of a secret identity vibe with the helmets and all. The show you’re thinking of with faces on vehicles is def ‘The Wheeled Warriors’. They weren’t just cars, they had plant-based bad guys too! The toys were sick cause you could mix and match parts. Main vehicle was like a red sports car that turned into a battle machine, pretty sure its name was Armed Force.
