ugh this is killing me... there was this old PC game prolly from the early 2000s or late 90s, all about moving blocks to solve puzzles. Had a really chill soundtrack, kinda ambient? Graphics were simple, just a bunch of squares but it got super challenging. Anyone remember the name??

That description sounds familiar... Was it 'Rush'? No wait, 'Rush' is more recent. You might be thinking of 'Sokoban' or one of its many clones. The original Sokoban was from the 80s but there have been a ton of remakes and similar games over the years, especially around the 90s and early 2000s. These games usually have the chill ambient soundtrack you mentioned and are all about pushing crates to solve puzzles. The original had a warehouse worker character, but many clones just stripped it back to blocks and a puzzle space. I'd check out 'Sokoban' clones from that era.
