okay so this is a total long shot but i’m trying to find this fashion show that used to air late-night in the 90s? it was all about street style, interviewing super random people and the host had this iconic neon windbreaker. they did this segment where they'd makeover someone’s wardrobe with thrift shop finds? please tell me someone else remembers this!!! 🙏

This is a stab in the dark, but there was a segment in a show called 'The Midnight Walk' that had a bit with thrift store makeovers, plus the host was known for his flashy attire. If that's the one, it aired sporadically—I think mainly in select cities. It's a deep cut, but maybe that's it?

This is ringing some vague bell in the deep recesses of my mind as well. There was definitely a host with the most outrageous bright clothes, right? And they'd pick out the wildest outfits from thrift stores... wish I had a name for ya though!

Hey! What you're describing sounds a lot like 'Metro Mode' that was on late nights. The host's neon windbreaker was like a beacon of urban fashion statement, and yes, they definitely had a thrift shop transformation section! Very niche but a cult classic among fashion enthusiasts. I'll update if I come across any old tapes.

I think I know the show you mean! Neon windbreaker is giving me strong vibes of 'Urban Runway'—that was my jam! They'd grab people right off the sidewalk and totally transform them, such an underrated gem of the 90s. Hope someone has it recorded on a VHS somewhere lmao
