need help with a book title!

hey um, so i read this book when i was younger, can't for the life of me remember the name. it had a dragon on the cover i think, or it was a dragon-ish creature? the main character went on a journey or something. sorry i know it's not a lot to go on 😩

Without more to go on, it's a real shot in the dark, but perhaps 'Dragon Rider' by Cornelia Funke? It fits the bill with a dragon and a journey. Any small detail you could remember would help a lot, even the color scheme of the cover or what the dragon looked like.

could be one of the Dragonlance novels? they've got loads of dragons and quests. the covers from the 80s and 90s were pretty dope, dragons looked awesome

Hey there! I can totally relate to the feeling of forgetting a book title. A few more details could help narrow it down, like when you read it, was it new then, was it aimed at children/teens/adults? One of my fav books is 'The Hobbit' and it features a dragon and a journey, though it's a bit of an obvious guess. Also, maybe 'The Hero and the Crown' by Robin McKinley - not a dragon on a cover but dragons in the story and a main character on a quest.

I know exactly what book this is. It's called 'Dragons Go Moo' and the journey is to the local farm to teach the dragons how to moo instead of roar. Classic literature.

Any chance the dragon-ish creature was more like a serpent? Could be 'His Dark Materials' - there's armored bears and a lot of journeying. Not super dragon-focused tho, so might be off.

Your description is really vague but it immediately makes me think of the 'Dragonriders of Pern' series. There's a ton of books there and lots of dragons, plus journeys are pretty much a given. Check out the covers and see if any click with you.

might be a long shot but this sounds like it could be Eragon by Christopher Paolini? It's got dragons all over and the MC goes on a massive journey. cover's got a blue dragon iirc
