Name of a Historical Mini-Series

Greetings, fellow memory joggers. I'm in search of a historical mini-series I saw on PBS approximately 10 years ago. It's a British production, set during the Napoleonic Wars, and follows the complex political and personal lives of officers and soldiers in the British Army. Notable is the realistic depiction of the era's warfare and a standout performance by a then-unknown actor who's now quite famous. I recall an episode featuring the Siege of Badajoz vividly. Your assistance is most appreciated.

Hey, I think I know the series you mean! I caught some reruns not long ago. Sharpe something... Sean Bean was the main actor and yeah, the battles were super intense. You should totally find it if you search for Sharpe and Napoleonic Wars together!

You're taking me back with this one! Used to watch Sharpe with my folks. That's gotta be what you're thinking of. Every episode was like a feature film, and oh boy, Sean Bean before he was a meme for dying in everything, haha! 'Sharpe's Company' has the siege. Happy rewatching!

Isn't that Sharpe's series? I love the costumes and the drama! There's so much heart in the portrayal of the soldiers' lives. You can find it on DVD or streaming services. Not just about war, there's a lot of interesting personal drama too!

Hey! This mini-series sounds terrific, been watching PBS classics recently too. It's really hard to find a Napoleonic series that's not about Sharpe, so I'm pretty sure that's your answer. I just love how they developed over the years. And the attention to detail! Just splendid.

The series you're describing is undoubtedly 'Sharpe', based on the novels by Bernard Cornwell. The siege you are referring to is depicted in 'Sharpe's Company'. It's lauded for its historical accuracy, particularly regarding the portrayal of the Peninsular War. Each episode is like a movie on its own, and it's one of PBS's golden oldies. So yeah, you're looking for 'Sharpe'.

omg! Sharpe's series for sure! Sean Bean is amazing in it and this is literally one of the best British war dramas out there. They've got all the battles, the struggle, everything. Look up 'Sharpe's Siege' for the Badajoz stuff, it's epic.

Sounds like you might be thinking of 'Sharpe's Rifles' or simply 'Sharpe'. It's all about the Napoleonic Wars and follows Richard Sharpe's rise through the ranks. Sean Bean was the lead, and he nailed it before he hit big time! Check it out, might be what you're looking for?
