Gone blank on the name of that show from I think the 80's or maybe early 90's? Had a car that could speak and they went on mad missions and stuff. Not Transformers, the other one. It's not 'Knight Rider' either, swear it was British...

You might be mixing shows up. British series with actual talking cars are super rare. Besides Knight Rider which was ofc American, most shows had smart cars, not chatty ones. And the ones that did talk like in Transformers or Brum were usually not British or not aimed at adults.

I reckon you're after Come Back Mrs. Noah – it's an old comedy where they wind up in space and one of the few British shows that had a sort of talking vehicle, albeit a spaceship rather than a car. Bit of a long shot but thought I'd throw it out there!

Sounds like you're thinking of Bugs. Had a team using all sorts of techy gadgets, including a talking car. Pretty cool show from back in the day, more about high-tech spies and all that jazz than cars with personalities. Maybe not as much talked about as Knight Rider but had its charm!

Dream Street? It aired in 1999 on CITV.

Ah, sweet memories... but might you be on about 'Chocky'? Now that was a show that had some trippy elements. Not quite a talking car scenario but involved an alien intelligence, and that's bang on in the 80's timeline. Bit of a long shot, but it came to mind reading your post.

Defo not Brum, that little car didn't have any chat. Sounds like you could be thinkin' of 'Bugsy', but it's a real obscure one mate. Didn't last too long, had a sentient car but it aired late 80's. Check it out, maybe it'll jog your memory.

Nah, Dream Street is way too late for what OP is asking, I watched that with my little sis. The one on bout sounds older. Was it 'Brum'? Had a little car that went on adventures, but it wasn't talking as far as I recall. It's not an exact match, but it came to mind.
