Why does everyone forget the poor Platypus mate?

Look you blokes, I've had enough! Why does everyone always want to talk about the Kangaroos and koalas, but no one remembers the bloody platypus? It's one of the most unique critters out there. Why don't we make a thread to respect out lil egg-laying mates, huh?.

Not sure what the fuss is about. They're weird as hell. Funny creatures, I reckon.

I'm with you on this mate. The platypus is quite the unique creature. It's not just their physical characteristics that are interesting, their behaviours and adaptations are also phenomenal. Did you know they use electroreception to forage for food? They're truly remarkable and definitely deserve to be appreciated and protected.

I feel the same way mate! The platypus is bloody rad. Any creature that lives half its life in the water and half on land and is also a mammal that lays eggs deserves a bloody medal. Spits in the face of categories. Champion!

Ya know what? You’re so right. I think they’re probably happy to be forgotten though. Less people trying to pet them and more time for them to go about their platypus business!

Maybe it's 'cause they're low key or the fact that they got venomous spurs, but I reckon they're holding on to some ancient wisdom. The great spirit has blessed them with resilience.

Mate, couldn't agree more! Platypus – the bloody jack of all trades, ya know. Swims like a fish, walks like a bloody otter, got a beak like a duck, and then pulls a magic trick by laying eggs. Damn straight they deserve some love!
