Locating specific Aussie wildlife TV documentary for kiddo

My kiddo is crazy about Aussie wildlife and there was this one specific documentary series we used to watch together- something about a peculiar journey across Australia's diverse ecosystems, covering everything from the outback to the reef. It was hosted by an elderly guy with white beard, and he had a very enthusiasm-filled and engaging style of narration. It was such an educational yet captivating series, and I think my kiddo would love it. Could anyone please help me find the name of this series/documentary and its host?

Mate, could be any show in Australia. We've all got white beards and love wonderin' about wildlife, nothin' new there!

Yeah! I loved that show when I was a kid, but can't recall its name either. It's an oldie but a goodie!

Sure sounds like one of those ABC documentaries. Do you remember anything else? Any specific animals or places seen in the series? Would help narrow it down a bit.

Bloke, you might have confused multiple series together, happens all the time with us Aussies. We love our wildlife shows, but remembering specifics can be a bugger lol.

Wildlife expert and enthusiast here. If you mean the series with an elderly gentleman taking us across the wild outback, the forests, and the reef, it probably is 'Bushwhacked!' However, the host isn't elderly. More likely, it could be 'Outback Adventures with Tim Faulkner' but again, there's a discrepancy in the host's description. The age and the white beard don't match up. Sorry, wish I could be more help!

It strikes me from your description that you're talking about 'Australia: Land Beyond Time'. The host you mentioned matches the description of Dr. Peter Schouten, although his beard isn't exactly white. The series was quite popular, catering to both kids and adults alike, and showcased Australia's myriad of astonishing ecosystems. You might want to check it out!

Hey, I think the series you're remembering might be 'Don’t Blame the Koalas' or 'Kangaroo Dundee' . Both are great shows but seem like they might not be exactly what you're talking about. Maybe you could give a bit more detail?
