Trying to pinpoint this cookbook from the 80s or 90s

So, I'm determined to find this cookbook my mom used. It's got a lot of Italian-American recipes, like the best lasagne I've ever had. The cover might’ve been red and white, possibly checkered? If anyone recalls a title or author, that'd be amazing.

There's like a million cookbooks it could be, seriously. But doesn't everyone just use online recipes now? 😜 Wish I could help find it, but I hope you track down your mom's treasure!

Oh wow, a cookbook with a checkered pattern. Super unique. Just kidding! That screams 80s/90s. Sounds like the 'Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book'. Classic choice if you ask me.

Hey, could it be 'The Frugal Gourmet Cooks Italian'? I remember a friend had it. They rave about how detailed the pasta recipes were. The cover wasn’t checkered, though, AFAIK.

I think you're talking about the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook! It was such a classic and had a base red-checked design, super iconic. If your mom always made lasagne from it, that might be it!

This sounds a lot like 'The Sopranos Family Cookbook' to me, which was super popular for a while. It fits the Italian-American theme, but check the publication date since it's early 2000s. Hmm, perhaps something from Maria Liberati? She's known for Italian-American recipes.

Oh man, I’ve been hunting down vintage cookbooks for ages. That red and white checkered cover sounds like 'The Good Housekeeping Illustrated Cookbook' if I'm not mistaken! Check some online marketplaces for a copy. Good luck!
