80s or 90s kids show with a talking dog

Remember a show from when I was little, there was a talking dog helping solve mysteries! It's NOT Scooby-Doo, definitely more niche and had a more realistic animation style. Kids these days won’t understand the thrill of mystery-solving canines! Anyone have a clue??

Shows like that are just timeless, aren't they? If it's not Wishbone or Dog City, could you be thinking of Poochinski? It wasn't big, just one episode actually, but it had a talking bulldog detective.

It's probably 'Wishbone', but if it's not, check out 'Dog House'. There's fewer memories of it out there, but it aired in the early 90s and had a talking dog who was once a human. Pretty niche!

Talking dogs? Hmm, sounds like a documentary I once saw... 😂 But seriously, maybe it was a fever dream? Dogs reading books sound pretty out there lol.

Could it be 'Dog City'? The main character, Ace Hart, was a canine detective in a film noir world. It had a blend of puppetry and animation, not your typical show, but definitely fits the bill if you weren’t thinking of classics.

Oh man, the nostalgia! Pretty sure you're talking about Wishbone, the coolest dog detective on TV back then. Scooby-Doo was fun but Wishbone had that educational twist! 📚🐾

You're probably thinking of 'Wishbone'. It aired in the 90s, about this Jack Russell Terrier who imagines himself in various literary classics. Each episode tied the book's theme to everyday life, and it was live-action with a realistic animation feel due to its storybook settings. A classic!!
